Humanist Hangouts
Humanist Hangouts are an important part of building a strong, connected secular community. While SHL is committed to education, activism, and service, we also believe it is important to create spaces where secular humanists can simply relax, socialize, and enjoy one another’s company. Throughout the year, we host a variety of regular monthly gatherings and special social events designed to help people make friends, strengthen relationships, and foster a greater sense of community. Whether joining us for dinner, trivia, crafts, karaoke, brunch, or other casual outings, Humanist Hangouts provide welcoming opportunities to connect with fellow humanists in a fun and informal setting.

Happy Humanist Hour (Dinner Club)
Join your Humanist friends on the second Tuesday of each month for Happy Humanist Hour, where we will share a meal, drinks, and good company.

Whether you knit, paint, scrapbook, crochet, or just like making things, join us for crafty fun and community.

Pub Trivia Night
Calling all Trivia buffs! If you enjoy a fun night out pitting your random knowledge against others, join your humanist friends on the 4th Tuesday of the month at Mex 1 Costal Cantina, located at 817 Saint Andrews Blvd in West Ashley at 6:30 pm for Trivia Night.
The next Trivia Night will be on May 26th.
5th Sunday Brunch
We also brunch any time there are 5 Sundays in a month.
The next brunch will be on Sunday, May 31st at 11 AM, The Tattooed Moose, Park Circle.
Karaoke Night
Sing, snack, and sip with fellow humanists — no talent required, just fun! Our next Karaoke Night will be at 7 pm on Saturday, June 20th at Deb & Rob Britt’s house.
Board Game Day
Roll the dice, draw some cards, and enjoy an afternoon of games and community with fellow secular humanists. Our next Game Day will be at 4 pm on Saturday, May 23rd at The Green Dragon in West Ashley.
