In 2023 we introduced Member Pins, given to any dues-paying members of the Secular Humanists of the Lowcountry (SHL). We offer several levels of annual membership:

2026 Member Pin

The 2026 SHL member pin features a lighthouse paired with the phrase “A Beacon of Reason,” symbolizing the guiding role that reason, evidence, and humanist values play in navigating a complex and often confusing world. Inspired by the Morris Island Lighthouse, the design reflects our deep connection to the Lowcountry while evoking the lighthouse’s timeless purpose: providing clarity, direction, and safety amid uncertainty. Just as a beacon cuts through darkness and fog, SHL strives to promote thoughtful inquiry, compassion, and reasoned action in our community.
