SHL Founder Herb Silverman opened the 2025 Freedom From Religion Foundation (FFRF) convention with a welcoming address with his usual wit and charm. He then received an award for his service to the secular community, and proceeded to sell out of the three boxes of books he bought, leaving some disappointed fans who would have liked to purchase one of his great books and get it signed. Herb donated all proceeds to FFRF.
