Several SHL volunteers joined with dozens of other community volunteers for the Lowcountry Period Pixies Packing Party on Saturday, August 8, 2026 at the Wando Mt Pleasant Library. We put together hundreds of Period Packs for distribution in the community. We ran out of supplies in less than an hour, reflecting the ongoing need for supplies. Demand outstrips donations, and it is great that so many volunteers showed up to help, but if we don’t have supplies to pack, those resources are wasted. Donations can be made using the Period Pixies’ Amazon Wishlist. Supplies can also be brought to the next packing party on Saturday, October 10th at the Baxter-Patrick James Island Library.
