A few notes about our text notifications:
- The sign-up form above is the same form as our regular email sign-up form.
- If you’re already subscribed for emails, just use the same email address when completing the form, and we will update your existing member record with your new texting preferences.
- Text messages are sent from Action Network.
- To receive text messages you need to add a mobile phone number AND check the “opt-in” checkbox below it on the form above.
- An email address is required in order to be included in our Action Network database, but if you want to receive text messages but NOT receive emails, uncheck the “opt-in” checkbox for emails underneath the “Complete Sign-Up” button.
- You can reply to our text messages, but note that those replies don’t go directly to any of our volunteers. Volunteers try to regularly log in to Action Network where we can view messages received, but it may be a while before anyone sees it, so please don’t reply to our text notifications with time sensitive messages.
- Text messages from SHL on Action Network come from the number 866-966-5036. If you’d like to save the number, here is a great icon to add to the number in your contacts:
