On Saturday, April 12, 2025, members of SHL came together with progressive activists from around the lowcountry to protest the Trump Catastrophe and to stand up for freedom, equality and democracy.
The protest took place on James Island in Charleston, South Carolina, along the busy Folly Road between Camp Rd and Eugene Gibbs St.
A message is needed as we move peacefully, but forcefully, onward to save our values: a clear demand so we the people can focus our action. The most important demands — and the most important to act on now — can be said in three words: remove, reverse, reclaim.
