      Our members are freethinkers of many kinds. We call ourselves agnostics, atheists, skeptics, secular humanists, rationalists and scientific naturalists. We welcome you and all who are interested in participating in our friendly community. Our events are open to members and non-members alike.

      The Separationist is the newsletter of the Secular Humanists of the Lowcountry and began publishing in September 1994. You can read our latest newsletter, and we are working on building an archive of past issues.

Activist Sunday

We had 41 people come out to our first Activist Sunday. We wrote 137 postcards to our SC state senators and representatives asking them to oppose bills that violate the separation of church and state, and are inconsistent with our humanist values.
