On Sunday, May 18th, we had our annual spring potluck picnic and board elections. The current board was unanimously affirmed for another year of service. The board members are Bonnie Cleaveland (vice-president), Tucker Lentz (treasurer), Diane Burns (secretary), Madelyne Adams, Susie Adams, Deb Britt, Richard Cook, Molly Flueckiger and Chuck Hammond.
We also heard from Deb Freel, executive director for Tri-County S.P.E.A.K.S., our Q1 Charity of the Quarter. She talked about the work her organization does, and how the donations for SHL members will help them continue their critical work in a time when funding is under threat.
We shared good food, and great company. It is always a pleasure to get together with like minded people to celebrate and support one another.
