Darwin Week 2012

Feb 6, 2012 / Many events from February 6th through February 12

College of Charleston

Circle your calendars for the twelfth annual Darwin Week in Charleston, Feb 6 - 12, 2012. The scientific program will include Evo-Devo researcher Athula Wikramanayake from the University of Miami on Monday, Neurobiologist Catalin Buhusi from MUSC on Tuesday, Citadel Astronomer Luke Sollitt on Wednesday, and Anthropologist Ted Goebel from Texas A&M on Thursday, sponsored by Sigma Xi.

Does Evolution lead to Evil? We'll explore that question Tuesday evening at Second Presbyterian Church, and again Friday evening, through "Alleged," a Creationist re-telling of the Scopes Trial. And organizer Rob Dillon preaches from the pulpit of Circular Congregational Church on Darwin's Birthday itself, February 12.
