Volunteer Activity: Lowcountry Orphan Relief on Saturday

The following e-mail announcement was sent by Laura Kasman to the Volunteer Network mailing list:

On April 6th, 2013, SHL will be volunteering at Lowcountry Orphan Relief, one of our former Charities of the Quarter!

Lowcountry Orphan Relief (LOR) is a non-profit organization that works with other non-profits, schools, foster parents, and government agencies to provide goods and services to children who have been abused or neglected. Volunteers will be sorting clothes, organizing rooms, and working on other various projects to help children in need.

Volunteers can come and meet up at Lowcountry Orphan Relief (1850 Truxtun Avenue, North Charleston) at 10:00 AM on Saturday, April 6th. Children 12 or older are welcome to come and help out as long as they are supervised by an adult. There are parking spots in front of the building; if parking fills up for any reason, volunteers are also allowed to park on the grass on the opposite side of the street.

Please reply to this e-mail with any questions you may have or to let us know that you are planning to be there on Saturday to help.

Thanks!

Aaron, Alex and Laura
