Gardening at Corrine Jones Park next Saturday

The following e-mail announcement was sent by Laura Kasman to the Volunteer Network mailing list:

Happy New Year, Humanists!

The SHL volunteer opportunity for January is working with the Charleston Parks Conservancy at Corrine Jones Park on the upper peninsula. (See http://www.charlestonparksconservancy.org/our_parks/view_park/corrine_jones/ for more information about the park or the organization.)

We will be planting bulbs and assisting with the winter cut-back at Corrine Jones Park just a bit north of Hampton Park where we planted in the past). Volunteers will be able to see the fruits of their labor in the coming spring! Assuming the weather cooperates, this should be a very pleasant and family-friendly way to do some good in our community.

Volunteers should dress for the outdoors and meet by the playground at Corrine Jones Park (36 Marlow Drive, Charleston, SC 29403) on Saturday, January 12th at 9am. We hope to see you there!

Please reply to this message with any questions you may have and to let us know if you plan to attend.

Thanks!

Aaron, Alex and Laura
