Mommy's Morning Out?

I'm Sarah, I've recently separated from my husband and have two girls, 21 months and 3 years. I havn't worked in three years but need to go back to work since the separation. Any suggestions for a secular preschool that isn't outrageously expensive? Also, I hope to come to one, if not two, of your scheduled playground playdates this month...dt and ji? Thanks and see ya soon.

Re: Mommy's Morning Out?

Hi Sarah,

I'm sorry to hear about your separation. Unfortunately, I don't really know of any suggestions for a secular preschool. However, there is a yahoo group called Secular Humanist Families of Charleston, and several of the members are working moms who may have suggestions for you. If you'd like, I can post your message in that group and see what they have to offer. Or if you'd like to join yourself (it's free), email me at SecularCharlestonMom@gmail.com and I'll send you an invitation (I'd need your email address) or you can go directly to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/SecularHu ... harleston/ and click the "join" button. Another possibility would be to see if you could find another SAHM mom that would be interested in watching your girls. I hope this helps a little. Good luck!

Re: Mommy's Morning Out?

Hi Sarah. I have a 4 year old little girl, she goes to Charleston Preschool (West Ashley). I don't know what area of town you're in, but I'm very happy with the school. I think it's a little more reasonably priced than some schools. I will say that her 3 year old teacher asks them to pray over lunch, I was upset at first, but figured she's too young to be brainwashed anyway! Plus, her teacher is great in every other way, so I over look it. Her school does not advertise as being affiliated with any religion, so I think it's just this particular teacher.

I can't make it to any of the weekly playdates since I work everyday, but I hope to meet you at a weekend event or at one of the Mom's Night Out events.

Take care and good luck,

Bonnie

Sarah,

They did, but it doesn't seem to be working right now. I think it was charlestonpreschool.net.
