Morroco arrests Ramadan fast breakers

A small group of Moroccan Muslims bravely attempted to protest the ban on public eating by "persons generally known as Muslim" during daylight during Ramadan. The law dates back to French colonial times and this was the first attempt at public protest, as far as anyone knows. Small wonder. The protesters were arrested and interrogated for several days, denounced by religious leaders, and then released to death threats and ostracism.

Apparently, Morocco's constitution guarantees freedom of conscience, but only for non-Muslims.
