Monthly Meeting-Myrtle Beach Humanists and Free Thinkers

The monthly meeting of the Myrtle Beach Humanists and Free Thinkers will be held on Sunday, February 7th from 5-7pm at the Chapin Library in downtown Myrtle Beach. This month's guest speaker will be Herb Silverman talking about his run for Governor of South Carolina in the mid 1990's titled, "Candidate Without a Prayer". We always bring light snacks and meet for dinner afterwards at a local restaurant. Please feel free to join our monthly discussion!!

How does one get information from the MB Humanists web site?

Thank you, rphoosier, for keeping us informed about the activities of the Myrtle Beach Humanists. I actually planned to attend yesterday, but I wasn't sure if there was, in fact, a meeting. If I had read your post, I would have known. I did check the MBH web site, but it seems stagnant. I registered and logged in, but I can't seem to get any response from it. What am I doing wrong?

Re: Monthly Meeting-Myrtle Beach Humanists and Free Thinkers

I do apologize. I failed to get the word out to this bulletin board about our March meeting. Yes, we had it and Will Moredock gave an excellent presentation to us. We are meeting the first Sunday of each month at 5pm at the Chapin Library in Myrtle Beach. Our next speaker will be none other than Alex Kasman. I will try to make a posting in the week preceding that meeting to remind everyone.

As for the website, I don't have much to do with that. Jane Obenschein does that. I assume you are referring to the Yahoo groups website? I know there have been several posts made there in the past few weeks.

Thank you for your interest, and we will hopefully see you April 4th.

Randy.

I forgot to mention, Alex's topic for the discussion is, "How the `Name of God' completely changed my reading of the Old Testament".
