Creation/evolution lectures, debate set

Dr. Donald S. Clark of Garden Valley, Texas, will speak in the Charleston area the week of Feb. 12.

--At 7 p.m. Feb. 12, he will speak on "Unlocking the Mystery of Life" at College Park Baptist Church, 542 College Park Road, Ladson.

--At 6 p.m. Feb. 13, he will speak on "Genesis 1: A Scientist's Perspective" at Ashley River Baptist Church, 1101 Savannah Highway, Charleston.

--At 6:30 p.m. Feb. 14, he will debate Dr. Rob Dillon Jr. on "Evolution and the Christian Faith: Conflict, Compatibility or Independence?" at the Charleston County Main Library Auditorium, 68 Calhoun St. Dillon is a biology professor at the College of Charleston. Clark has a doctorate in physical biochemistry, has written several peer-reviewed papers in biochemistry and clinical ophthalmology, has had positions as vice president for two start-up biotechnology companies, and is vice chairman of the board of directors for Creation Moments.
